A better year for swimmers in Toronto.

•Gzowski, Bluffer's, Rouge (Sunnyside)

Cherry Beach was swimmable 99% of the days and Hanlan's Point 98%. Ward's Island water quality was good 94% of the time and Woodbine 92%.

Three beaches were still closed over 50% of the summer namely, Sir Gzowski Beach (65%), Bluffer's Park (71%) and Rouge Park Beach (71%). Sunnyside Beach was unsafe for water contact 48% of the time and Marie Curtis 44%.

In the middle of the pack Budapest was unswimmable 33% the season; Centre Island 10%; Beaches 12%, Kew 21%; Balmy 9%.

August was the worst month for bathers - Marie Curtis was unsafe 57% of the time; Gzowski 93%; Sunnyside 73%; Budapest 50%; Bluffer's 90% and Rouge Park 77%.
