ENGO letter to Province - draft Alternative Fuels regs

The Province has proposed regulations that would allow cement and steel facilities across Ontario to burn waste instead of coal with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Unfortunately, this proposal will have some serious unintended consequences. Read more about the proposal here.

In May 2014, the Canadian Environmental Law Association (CELA) with the support of nine other environmental and health NGOs including TEA submitted comments to the Province expressing concerns about the proposed regulations.
