CouncilWatch - Electing a Green Council

Helping you Elect a Green Council

Today, we sent out a survey to Toronto Mayoral and Council candidates.
This survey asks candidates a series of yes or no questions related to our  6 Municipal Election Environmental Priorities and endorsed by 40 organizations
across Toronto.

We'll be grading the candidates based on their answers and will issue an Environmental Report Card a few weeks before the election. The Report Card will give Torontonians the knowledge they need to vote for the environment on election day, October 25th.

Encourage Candidates to Fill in Our Election Survey

Candidates must submit completed surveys by August 19th. Encourage them to fill in our survey. Visit our website to send an email to mayoral and council candidates: click here.

Let the candidates know that you'll be paying attention to TEA's Environmental Report Card and will consider candidate grades when you cast your ballot on October 25th, 2010.

TEA Report Cards

TEA has been grading candidates and Council on environmental commitments and action for years - see our 2008 Mid-Term Report Card, and the 2006 Election Report Card.
