This year may well be a pivotal moment in the history of Toronto's beaches and Lakeside celebrates these distinct and invaluable public spaces and captures the renewed optimism surrounding the future revitalization of the City's beaches.
Lakeside is collaboration between the environmental and arts community. Funded in part by the City of Toronto, the exhibit is timely, coinciding with the City's raising of Blue Flags at its cleanest beaches this summer. The exhibit showcases work from 13 local artists in all media - visual, sound and video to evoke passion, concern and hope for our local beaches.
A series of evening talks and workshops accompanies the exhibit. Click for an events schedule. Check back for updates and newly added events.
