Kristen is excited to join TEA as the Greenbelting Toronto Campaigner, building stronger links between Toronto and the Greenbelt. Having grown up near the streams and trails in the Greenbelt area, Kristen's love for natural areas has led to her interest in issues connecting people with their environments.

Kristen's interest in local development and food security issues have been fostered by a farming internship in Guelph, studying food security in Havana, Cuba, and organizing various public education events around these issues. And, convinced that there's nothing better than Niagara peaches and tomatoes in August, Kristen is thrilled to be working to increase the amount of Greenbelt food eaten locally. Kristen comes to TEA after earning a degree in International Development Studies from Dalhousie University, and working with campus sustainability initiatives at universities on the East Coast and Toronto.

In her spare time, Kristen loves traveling by bike, practicing Spanish, and plays on a very dedicated recreational soccer team.

Kristen Howe recently joined the TEA campaign team. Welcome Kristen!
