Diana Yoon is a climate and housing justice activist. Currently, Diana is a Master’s student and Teaching Assistant in Geography at York University. Previously, she worked at The Atmospheric Fund as the Regional Outreach Lead where she accelerated climate solutions across the GTHA. Outside of work, Diana was a founding member of Climate Justice Toronto and formerly the Housing Lead at the Toronto Youth Cabinet. She now organizes with Friends of ChinatownTO to advocate for affordable housing and prevent displacement. Diana was also the federal NDP candidate for Spadina-Fort York in the 2019 election. In 2017, Diana was awarded as a "Top 25 Environmentalists Under 25”. As a queer, young woman of colour, she is committed to always putting equity at the forefront of our low-carbon future. And fun fact: Diana has recently taken up embroidery as a new hobby.
