Post Election Mixer: Let's make sure the environment is not on Mayor Ford's "Gravy Train"

Join us for a Post-Election Mixer to discuss Toronto's future

Mayor Ford has made it clear the environment is not on his agenda. Unless we hear otherwise, we have to assume many of the city's positive environmental policies are on the "gravy train" he wants to stop. We need to strategize about how to respond to this new political reality and we need your advice.

That's why we are inviting you to a special networking event on November 23rd to discuss how those who care about building a green Toronto should respond to the new Mayor and City Council.

Event details:

  • Tuesday, November 23rd, 7:00pm
  • Revival, 783 College St (just east of Ossington)
  • RSVP: laura (at) torontoenvironment.org or 416-596-0660

To kick off the discussion, we will hear from Councillor Carroll (the out-going Budget Chief) and Councillor Perks. Their remarks will be followed by a brief Q & A session focusing on what TEA and other groups concerned with a green agenda should do in the next year. Then, we'll let the real discussion begin through informal discussions and networking over drinks.

This all happens starting at 7 pm on Tuesday, November 23rd at Revival (783 College St, just east if Ossington on the south side).

Please RSVP by emailing laura (at) torontoenvironment.org or calling us at 416-596-0660
