Good Neighbour Campaign
TEA has partnered with Environmental Defence Canada and Environment Hamilton to develop community-led Good Neighbour Campaigns (GNCs) in three Ontario communities.
These campaigns are based on the successful GNC model, developed by Ohio Citizen Action in the U.S., which use community mobilization and pressure to encourage local industries to reduce and prevent pollution, independent of legal and regulatory routes.
The GNC model focuses on opening the lines of communication between industry and their neighbouring communities to create working relationship for positive change.
