CouncilWatch - Comedy Jam June 10; Good Neighbour resource website

June 3, 2012

Join us on June 10th for TEA's 2012 Comedy Jam
hosted by Ali Hassan with special guest Nic Lemon & Co!

Greening the city is serious work, but we all need to relax and have fun! On June 10th, we've got 15 talented comedians lined up to make you laugh, and raise funds for TEA!

Good Green Neighbours

Since 2008, TEA's Good Neighbour Campaign has been helping communities address local pollution concerns by opening the lines of communication with nearby industries that are contributing to the problem.

Scarborough Centre residents started a Good Neighbour Campaign to raise air pollution concerns with their industrial neighbour, Atlantic Packaging. The company responded with air quality testing, facility upgrades, odour and noise reductions, and a community liaison committee.
The company has proven themselves to be a good neighbour by working with local residents to reduce pollution.

Our new Good Neighbour Campaigns website
outlines the campaign approach, provides resources and tools for starting your own, and shares past and present campaign stories from Toronto, Hamilton and Ohio!

We'll be adding more content to the website in the coming weeks!  Feel free to provide us with feedback to help us improve the site.

Black Out & Speak Out

On June 4th, TEA will black out our website as part of the Black Out Speak Out Campaign protesting the federal budget impacts on the environment.

We will join Canadians across the country to send a clear message to the Federal Government: environmental protection and democracy are core
Canadian values that no government should undermine. Learn more here.

Thanks for your compliments on our new look & our new logo!
