ACTION ALERT: Tell your Councillor to vote YES to a Community Right-to-Know Bylaw

On Monday, November 17th, the Board of Health voted unanimously in favour of sending the Community Right-to-Know Bylaw to the December City Council session. It was a great day!

We are now one vote away from a precedent-setting bylaw that would require businesses to publicly report what toxic chemicals they use and release.

This is the very last hurdle!  Please send an email to your Councillor urging them to vote YES to right to know.

And please forward this email to friends and family!

For your Councillor's email address or to find out who your Councillor is go to: http://app.city.toronto.on.ca/im/council/councillors.jsp

Here is an email sample letter that you can use:

Dear Councillor,

As a resident in your ward, I want you to know that I support the Community Right to Know Bylaw. I want to know what toxic chemicals my neighbours and I are being exposed to and I want businesses to reduce their use and release of these harmful substances.

At the December Council session, I urge you to vote YES to right to know.

Thank you.
