Letters to the Editor - "Passing wind" - NOW Toronto

NOW Toronto

Kudos to the Toronto Environmental Alliance for supporting wind power at City Hall (NOW, September 8-14). Wind is indeed a good investment in human health. And here’s new evidence: this month’s Scientific American examines the number of accidental deaths attributable to various forms of energy. It turns out there are about 60 times more fatalities during coal production than during wind generation. Instead of attacking renewables, the city’s executive should go after fossil fuels.
