Mayoral Environmental Debate, Tory and Chow

Mayoral candidates John Tory and Olivia Chow butted heads on Thursday (Sept. 25) at the Toronto Environmental Alliance's debate.

Tory and Chow were divided on two important local issues: when it comes to island airport expansion to accommodate jets, John Tory says wait and see based on council adopting a motion to do a study to be finished by April. Olivia Chow against airport expansion. And although he didn't seem too eager to talk about it, John Tory says he does support Line 9, the Enbridge pipeline that will transport Alberta crude east through Toronto. During the debate, Olivia Chow says she does not support Line 9.
