The Toronto Environmental Alliance is joining up with a coalition called TTCriders to strongly recommend sticking with the Transit City plan to introduce Light Rail Transit instead of subways. They are issuing a report the shows the LRT's are cheaper and better for the environment. Mayor Elect Rob Ford has proposed eliminating the LRT plan and introducing more subways around the city.
