Paul Mero, Interim Development Director

Paul is a fundraising professional focused on creating broad-based support for not-for-profits and charities. He joined TEA in the fall of 2018 as Interim Development Director.

He has over 20 years’ experience building monthly giving programs for Greenpeace Canada and Amnesty International. He is a strong advocate for providing people with options to both fund and participate in helping organizations achieve their missions.

Paul is also Co-Chair of Green 13, a community-based environmental group in Toronto’s west end. Green 13 works with local residents, businesses and other partners to address three climate-related issues: exploring ways to help older urban areas become carbon neutral, protecting and expanding urban forests, and developing local resilience in the face of challenges related to climate change.

In his spare time he enjoys hiking, camping and canoeing with family and friends.
