TEA deputations to Public Works on service review
At the Public Works and Infrastructure meeting on July 18, 2011, the Committee considered the 'opportunities' for service changes presented by the Mayor's consultants.
Unfortunately, all 'opportunities' were referred to the Mayor's Executive Committee for consideration on September 19th. See the decision details on the City website here.
TEA was there to express concern about the proposal to cut important environmental services on behalf of our members:
- - Franz Hartmann, Executive Director
- - Heather Marshall, Toxics Campaigner
- - Emily Alfred, Waste Campaigner
- Graphic used by Emily Alfred to demonstrate that Toronto's diversion target of 70% is Not 'significantly higher' than other jurisdictions as stated by the Mayor's consultants. (design by Natasha Pirani)
