Two City Councillors have recently taken the lead to protect our water and take a stand against pollution in our sewer system. TEA has played a key role in getting these issues on the agenda, working directly with these Councillors to bring the matter forward at City Hall.

The Green Action Agenda says: Stop Island Airport expansion; Monitor air quality rigorously: Build a Toronto that Moves.

We need to invest now to get Toronto ready for severe weather events, like floods and ice storms, that climate change will bring.

We need to cut Toronto’s waste drastically by investing in waste diversion. Far too much that can be recycled or composted is being thrown away.

The Green Action Agenda says: invest in affordable fares and better service to improve the air, reduce pollution and congestion.

Toronto needs to develop a plan to manage the toxic chemicals that the ChemTRAC Program has identified.
