Sign up to speak to the Budget Committee to share your thoughts.

On November 30th the City of Toronto’s draft budget was introduced. At the moment, the draft operating budget doesn’t include ANY funding to implement the TransformTO climate plan.  If that’s not OK with you – we need you to speak up.

The Budget Committee will hear public deputations - short speeches of 3-5 minutes - about the City’s Budget on January 8, 9 and 10th. These are opportunities for advocates and members of the public to speak publicly with elected officials. You can see the schedule below.

One week before the meetings, you can sign up to speak by emailing [email protected]. You will have up to 5 minutes to speak to the councillors in attendance.

If you can’t make any of the sessions in person, you can also submit your comments by emailing [email protected] and we encourage include your Councillor and the Mayor.
