Media Advisory: City Councillors help refugees and the environment on Earth Day at Nathan Phillips Square

  • Where: Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen Street West, Toronto
  • Who: Furniture Bank, Toronto Environmental Alliance, City Councillors (invited) 

Furniture Bank branded truck will be parked in Nathan Phillips Square to receive donations of reusable housewares for Syrian refugees and schedule pick up times for used furniture.

Toronto Environmental Alliance staff will be promoting the value of reusing goods to reduce waste going to landfill, and to help the environment.

Furniture Bank staff and TEA staff will be available for interview and comments.
