TEA has a long history of collaboration with other environmental, community and health groups to oppose incineration and ‘energy from waste’ in all it’s forms, and the false claims about incineration aren't stopping.
In 2023 as a part of the Canadian Zero Waste Coalition, TEA joined a number of leading groups from across Canada, supported by the international group GAIA, to publish and share facts about the issues with incineration. This included the climate impacts, health impacts, and stories of failures from across our country. This came in response to a problematic federal report on energy from waste.
