Virtual Tour and Learning Session with Windmill Line Co-op (Recording)

As part of the Zero Waste High-Rise Project, TEA is hosting online Peer-Learning Events where you will hear directly from residents and staff from leading zero waste buildings - and learn how they achieved waste reduction.

This online learning session looks at how to improve access to waste diversion options in buildings.

For those who missed the live event or would like to review what was covered we have provided a full video recording below.

Resident leader Camille and property manager Juan of Windmill Line Co-op, take us on a virtual tour of their building. They show us how they’ve achieved steady progress towards zero waste and how they were able to implement a cooking oil collection program in the midst of the pandemic.

Watch the video to:

  • Hear from resident leader Camille and property manager Juan on how they work together to reduce waste
  • Hear about the steps they took to implement and promote used cooking oil recycling during COVID-19
  • Take a virtual walkthrough of their recycling room and cooking oil collection set-up through videos and images
  • See posters and signs used to share updates and progress with other residents
