TEA's Zero Waste Toronto report aims to inspire Torontonians and City Councillors with a vision of zero waste for Toronto and demonstrate how achievable it really is. This report was first published in February 2016 when Toronto was finalizing it's Long Term Waste Management Strategy. This report provides innovative ideas and concrete examples that can help as our city discusses what kind of future we want and what path we will choose to take on waste.

Following the Zero Waste Toronto report, TEA released the Organics First report in June of 2016. This report outlines the first steps we need to take towards our vision of zero waste: we need to make sure that no compostable organics - mostly food and food scraps - end up in Toronto’s garbage.
